Q-Cel filler is lightweight, preserving surfboard performance and balance. It sands easily for smooth, seamless repairs, ensuring a professional finish. Once cured, Q-Cel forms a durable bond, resistant to water, UV rays, and physical stress, maintaining the surfboards integrity and longevity in harsh marine environments.

DIRECTIONS

• Clean the area thoroughly with fresh water and let it dry completely.
  Use a sanding block or a grinder to remove any loose or damaged material around the repair area. Sand down to the fibreglass layer to ensure a solid base for the repair.
• Wipe the sanded area with a clean cloth and some acetone to remove dust, grease, and any contaminants. Allow the area to dry before proceeding.
  In a clean mixing container, combine polyester or epoxy resin with the Q-Cel filler. Add Q-Cel gradually to the resin until you achieve a thick, pasty consistency that is easy to spread but not runny.
• Add the appropriate amount of hardener or catalyst to the Q-Cel and resin mixture according to the resin manufacturers instructions. Mix thoroughly to ensure the hardener is evenly distributed.
• Apply the Q-Cel mixture to the damaged area. Fill the repair area completely, slightly overfilling to allow for sanding down to a smooth finish.
  While the mixture is still workable, shape it as closely as possible to the original contours of the surfboard. 
• Let the Q-Cel mixture cure completely. Curing times will vary based on the type of resin used and ambient temperature. 
• Once fully cured, sand the repair area with medium-grit sandpaper (around 80-120 grit) to remove excess material. Follow with finer sandpaper (220-320 grit) to achieve a smooth, flush finish with the surrounding surface.
• For a professional finish, apply a thin layer of resin over the sanded repair area to seal it. Optionally, polish the area for a glossy finish.

STORAGE:
Store the Q-Cel in an airtight container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
